Purchase of Prior Service Credits
Using Your Plan
You may use the assets you have accumulated in your Miami-Dade County 457 Deferred Compensation Plan to purchase service credits through your defined benefit plan with the Florida Retirement System (FRS). To do so, download, print and complete the following FRS form: Florida Retirement System Pension 401(a) Plan Pretax Direct/Rollover Form form.
The completed form should be faxed to ICMA-RC at 1-202-682-6439. No employer signature is required.
ICMA-RC will send a check, along with the signed FRS form, directly to FRS.
